Jockey Pierre-Charles Boudot capitalized on two late opportunities to score his first two Breeders’ Cup wins at the 2020 World Championships. First, he took the Maker’s Mark Filly and Mare Turf on Audarya when originally named rider Ioritz Mendizabal had to give up the mount after testing positive for COVID-19. Two races later, he substituted for rider Christophe Soumillon on longshot Order of Australia in the FanDuel Mile Presented by PDJF after Boudot's original mount One Master scratched and Soumillion was unable to ride, also due to a COVID-19 postitive.

The also-eligible rallied late to upset the Mile and add to an incredible, unexpected Breeders' Cup haul for the French rider.
Boudot, son of the late trainer Marc Boudot, won his first race in 2009 and gradually became a successful jockey in Europe. His top wins in 2020 prior to his Breeders’ Cup victory included the Group 1 Queen Elizabeth II Stakes aboard The Revenant and the Juddmonte Grand Prix de Paris on Mogul. He won the 2019 Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe on Waldgeist. Audarya and Order of Australia were his fourth and fifth career mounts in the Breeders’ Cup.
