Wuheida won her career debut in August 2016 at Newmarket before stepping right up to Group 1 competition for the Total Prix Marcel Boussac-Criterium des Pouliches. She took charge about 100 yards from the finish line and won by three-quarters of a length.

After debuting at three with a runner-up finish in the Grade 1 Tattersalls Falmouth Stakes in July, she then ran third in the German Oaks. A fourth-place finish in Ireland followed before another fourth, beaten by only a half-length in the Group 1 Prix de l’Opera Longines on the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe undercard set her up for the Breeders’ Cup.
Making her U.S. debut in the Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Turf, Wuheida seized command in early stretch and safely held off a late rally from Rhododendron for a one-length win.
