Will Call won his career debut in September 2016 by 13 ¼ lengths and finished fourth in an allowance race at Churchill Downs in his only other start as a 2-year-old.
He won an allowance race at Fair Grounds in his 2017 debut and followed with a third-place finish at the New Orleans track before trying turf for the first time. He won his grass debut in December 2017 at Fair Grounds, pressing the pace before edging to the lead late, and followed with another win in a turf sprint.

Will Call got another chance in a graded stakes race in his next start and made the most of it, surging to the lead in the stretch at Churchill Downs on Longines Kentucky Oaks day to win the Grade 3 TwinSpires Turf Sprint Stakes.
Stakes winner Vote Early, by More Than Ready, is the dam (mother) of Will Call.
