West Coast Belle won her career debut at Monmouth Park in September. She followed that up with a convincing 6 3/4-length victory in Churchill Downs' Rags to Riches Stakes in October and would go off as the favorite in Thanksgiving weekend's Grade 2 Golden Rod Stakes at Churchill Downs.
The striking gray filly did not disappoint, coming home a 1 1/4-length victor over 11 other 2-year-old fillies. West Coast Belle improved her record to 3-for-3 with the win.

West Coast Belle is a daughter of leading sire Tapit. Owners Gary and Mary West bred the filly from their Unbridled's Song mare Splendid Solution.
