After winning his second career start, Vision Perfect finished secon in the Grade 3 Pilgrim Stakes in September 2014 before capping his 2-year-old season with a win in the Awad Stakes at Belmont Park. He opened his 3-year-old season with a win in the Woodhaven Stakes at Aqueduct in April 2015 before unplaced finishes at Saratoga in the National Meuseum of Racing Hall of Fame Stakes and Saranac Stakes. He subsequently finished second in the Grade 3 Hill Prince Stakes at Belmont Park.

In March 2018, Vision Perfect earned another stakes win with a 4 3/4-length runaway in the Silk Run Stakes at Gulfstream Park. Following an unplaced finish in the Grade 3 Twin Spires Turf Sprint Stakes presented by Twinspires.com, Vision Perfect nailed down his first career graded stakes score in the Grade 3 Parx Dash Stakes on July 7 at Parx Racing.
