It took Tightend Touchdown a long time to find his stride on the track, but once he did, the gelding didn't look back. Tightend Touchdown moved up to the stakes circuit in June 2013 and immediately won. He beat a field of quality horses in the Pennsylvania Governor's Cup followed by three straight second place finishes, including two Grade 3 finishes, on his way to the 2013 Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint where he finished second.
In 2014 Tightend Touchdown again captured the Pennsylvania Governor's Cup before reeling off a pair of graded stakes placings.
