Tiger Moth, a daughter of champion Street Sense, won three of her first eleven starts before trying stakes company in spring 2017. She finished third in her first attempt, the Azeri Stakes at Oaklawn, and then finished fourth in the Apple Blossom Handicap at the same track.
The Brad Cox trainee was unplaced in her next two starts, both in graded stakes, but reached top form during the summer, winning a listed stakes at Indiana Grand and then nabbing her first graded stakes win in the Grade 3 Groupie Doll Stakes at Ellis Park on Aug. 13.
