Term of Art was entered in the 2016 Sentient Jet Breeders' Cup Juvenile by owner Brad Kelley of Calumet Farm and trainer Doug O'Neill after winning a one-mile maiden race at Santa Anita.
The Tiznow colt finished ninth in the Juvenile, but returned in his next start to win the Grade 3 Cecil B. DeMille Stakes at Del Mar.
After two unplaced efforts in graded stakes as a 3-year-old, he picked up 10 Kentucky Derby qualifying points with a closing third in the Grade 2 San Felipe Stakes on March 11.
