After winning his second and third starts, Synchrony finished third in the Smarty Jones Stakes at Oaklawn and then ran sixth in the Grade 3 Southwest Stakes. He followed with a third-placed finish in the Grade 3 Coolmore Lexington Stakes. He showed significant improvement in 2017 when switching to the grass, winning his turf debut by 1 1/4 lengths before finishing second by a half-length in the Henry S. Clark Stakes at Laurel Park. That race earned him a career-best 109 Equibase Speed Figure.

Synchrony closed out his 4-year-old season with another runner-up finish, rallying for second in the Grade 3 Red Bank Stakes at Monmouth Park in May.
After an extended layoff Synchrony returned in Febraury 2018 and earned a breakthrough stakes victory in the Grade 3 Fair Grounds Handicap. He followed with a visually impressive victory over a strong field in the Grade 2 Muniz Handicap on the March 24 Louisiana Derby undercard.
Synchrony finished third in his next two stakes tries – the Grade 1 Old Forester Turf Classic at Churchill Downs and the Grade 3 Arlington Handicap at Arlington Park – but returned to the winner’s circle on July 29 with a visually impressive score in the Grade 3 Oceanport Stakes at Monmouth Park.
Synchrony stayed at the New Jersey track for his next start in the Sept. 1 Grade 3 Red Bank Stakes, and once again impressed, winning by 1 ½ lengths as the 3-5 favorite. Synchrony closed out his 2018 season with an unplaced finish in the Grade 1 Shadwell Turf Mile Stakes in October at Keeneland and a third-place finish in the Grade 2 Seabiscuit Handicap in November at Del Mar.
In his first start as a 6-year-old, Synchrony regained his winning form with a clear victory in the Grade 3 Fair Grounds Handicap on Feb. 16 at Fair Grounds. After an unplaced finish in the Old Forester Turf Classic Stakes on the May 4 Kentucky Derby undercard, Synchrony ran second by a neck in the Grade 2 Monmouth Stakes. He regained his top form on June 29 in the Grade 2 King Edward Stakes at Woodbine, where he passed six horses in the final quarter-mile to win by a length.
Synchrony is out of graded stakes winner Brownie Points.
