Stormy Embrace

Stormy Embrace won a maiden claiming race in her career debut before she was quickly elevated to stakes competition. After an unplaced finish in her stakes debut in August 2016, she ran second in the Florida Sire Susan's Girl Stakes in September 2016. 

Stormy Embrace halted a four-race winless stretch with an allowance win in April 2017 at Gulfstream Park and added an allowance win in July at Monmouth Park. She placed in a pair of stakes to close out her 2017 season, finishing third in the Millions Distaff Stakes and second in the FTBOA City of Ocala Florida Sire Stakes.

The chestnut filly began her 4-year-old season with an allowance win at Tampa Bay Downs and followed with a third-place finish in the Minaret Stakes, also at Tampa. Stormy Embrace earned her first career stakes win in May 2018 with a half-length score in the Musical Romance Stakes at Gulfstream Park. In her next start, Stormy Embrace earned a breakthrough graded stakes win in the Grade 2 Princess Rooney Stakes, powering away to a dominant score to earn an automatic starting spot in the Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Sprint.

Stormy Embrace returned from a two-month layoff in the Sheer Drama Stakes and ran third in her prep for the Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Sprint. She never factored in the Breeders' Cup, finishing 11th after a slow start in the Filly and Mare Sprint. Stormy Embrace closed her 4-year-old season with a runner-up finish by a neck in the Grade 3 Sugar Swirl Stakes on Dec. 15 at Gulfstream.

Making her 5-year-old bow in the Grade 3 Hurricane Bertie Stakes on Jan. 26 at Gulfstream Park, Stormy Embrace finished third. She returned to action in May in the Musical Romance Stakes and pulled away to a 10 1/2-length victory. She then targeted a repeat victory in the Grade 2 Princess Rooney Stakes in June 2019 and proved best with a two-length victory.
