Bio
Skyring broke his maiden at Oaklawn Park. After dissapointing starts in the Illinois Derby and Coolmore Lexington Stakes, he won an allowance race at Churchill Downs and the James W. Murphy Stakes at Pimlico. Placing in multiple graded stakes races, Skyring finished out the 2012 season with a third place finish in the Grade 3 River City Handicap at Churchill Downs.

The English Channel colt started 2013 with a second place in the Fifth Season Stakes at Oaklawn Park. After a fourth place finish in the Grade 1 Maker's 46 Mile Stakes, he brought home a win in the Grade 2 Dixie Stakes. Skyring ran in three more graded stakes during the 2013 season, bringing home sixth place each time.
