Making her debut at Pleasanton in June 2013, She's a Tiger showed true talent when she broke her maiden by nine lengths. Not a month later the Tale of the Cat filly captured another win in the Landaluce Stakes at Hollywood Park. She made a great attempt at her first graded stakes race with a second place finish missing a win by a short half length in the Grade 2 Sorrento Stakes.

She's a Tiger earned a breakthrough win in the Grade 1 Del Mar Debutante in August at Del Mar and followed with a hard-fought runner-up finish to Secret Compass in the Grade 1 Chandelier Stakes in September at Santa Anita Park. The filly was first under the wire in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies but was disqualified from the win after it was decided by the stewards that she had interferred with Ra Antonia. However, the disqualification didn't hurt her Eclipse chances as she took home champion 2-year-old filly honors for 2013.
She's a Tiger is a three-quarter sister to three-time Grade 1 winner Smiling Tiger.
