Irish-bred September won her first two career races, including the Chesham Stakes at Ascot in the U.K. She then raced exclusively in graded or group stakes for the rest of 2017, with her best European efforts a third-place finish in the Group 1 Moyglare Stud Stakes and a second-place in the Group 1 Bet365 Fillies Mile.
She then shipped stateside to compete in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf, breaking slowly and racing in last place for much of the race. She rallied strongly in the homestretch, however, to finish third.
