Selflessly, a More Than Ready filly owned by Klaravich Stables and trained by Chad Brown, finished second in her career debut on turf on Aug. 28 at Saratoga, losing by a half-length to stablemate Jazzique.
Both fillies squared off again in the Grade 3 Miss Grillo Stakes, a 1 1/16-mile turf race at Belmont Park on Sept. 29, and this time Selflessly found the winner’s circle, breaking her maiden by three quarters of a length, with Jazzique third. She closed out her 2-year-old season by running fifth, beaten by four lengths, in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf.

Selflessly stumbled at the start of her 3-year-old debut and never was a factor in the Grade 3 WOnder Again Stakes. She bounced back nicely in her second start when she rallied from off the pace to collar heavily favored Wonder Again winner Sweet Melania in the closing strides for a nose victory in the Grade 3 Lake George Stakes Aug. 28 at Saratoga.
Selflessly is out of the Grand Slam mare Uniformly Yours, who is also the dam of multiple stakes winner Enchanted Ghost.
