Remembering Rita lost eight straight races to begin his career before a breakthrough win in a maiden special weight race at Prairie Meadows in May 2018. He followed with an 11-length runaway victory in an allowance race at Prairie Meadows in June 2018.
Making his stakes debut in the Grade 3, $300,000 Prairie Meadows Cornhusker Handicap on July 6, Remembering Rita stalked the pace from second and battled gamely in the stretch to pull away to a 1 1/2-length win and extend his winning streak to three.
