Bio
Bred in the United States, the Ramseys sent homebred Real Solution to Rome to start his career. The bay colt won his first three races, including a stakes race by five lengths. Real Solution made two more starts in Italy before returning to the United States as a 4-year-old where he finished second to multiple Grade 1 winner Point of Entry and the consistent Optimizer in the Woodford Reserve Manhattan Handicap in his second American start.

Real Solution earned a breakthrough victory when he dueled The Apache through the stretch of the Grade 1 Arlington Million and won via disqualificaton when The Apache bumped him several times in the final furlong. Heading to Belmont Park, he placed third in the Grade 1 Joe Hirsch Turf Classic Invitational Stakes.
In 2014 the horse finished fourth in the Mervin Muniz Jr. Handicap (G2) and second in the Grade 1 Man o' War Stakes before capturing a second Grade 1 victory in the Manhattan Stakes.
By champion Kitten's Joy, Real Solution is the first winner for his dam Reachfortheheavens. Out of a half sister to stakes placed Map, Reachfortheheavens is from the family of champion Slew o' Gold.
