Pure Silver won her career debut by 1 1/2 lengths by leading every step of the way in June 2017 at Belmont Park. She followed with a victory in the Lynbrook Stakes at Belmont in July, again leading from start to finish for a clear win. In the Grade 2 Adirondack Stakes, Pure Silver faced an early challenge and dueled for the lead through a swift opening quarter-mile in :22.44, but she surged clear in the stretch to a runaway, 9 1/2-length victory.
In the Grade 1 Spinaway, Pure Silver dueled with Separationofpowers through a swift opening half-mile and faded to finish fourth.
