After winning four of 11 starts in France in 2014 and 2015, Projected missed his entire 2016 campaign before resurfacing in March 2017 in the United States under the care of Eclipse Award-winning trainer Chad Brown. He ran fourth in a graded stakes race for Brown before a confidence-building allowance victory at Keeneland Race Course.
After winning four of 11 starts in France in 2014 and 2015, Projected missed his entire 2016 campaign before resurfacing in March 2017 in the United States under the care of Eclipse Award-winning trainer Chad Brown. He ran fourth in a graded stakes race for Brown before a confidence-building allowance victory at Keeneland Race Course.
Projected then finished second in the Grade 2 Dixie Stakes on the Preakness undercard before another runner-up finish, beaten by a neck, in the Grade 3 Poker Stakes at Belmont Park. He added another second in the Lure Stakes in August at Saratoga prior to a fifth-place finish in the Grade 2 Bernard Baruch Handicap. In September, Projected secured his first career stakes victory when he won the Grade 2 Baltimore/Washington International Turf Cup Stakes at Laurel Park.
Raced exclusively in stakes company in 2018, Projected finished second or third in six straight stakes, including the Grade 2 Monmouth Stakes, Grade 2 Bernard Baruch, and Grade 3 Baltimore/Washington International Turf Cup.
