Precieuse was bred in Ireland and began her racing career in France, where she won twice and finished second four times in seven races and earned a career defining victory in the 2017 Poule d'Essai des Pouliches (French One Thousand Guineas).
Precieuse was bred in Ireland and began her racing career in France, where she won twice and finished second four times in seven races and earned a career defining victory in the 2017 Poule d'Essai des Pouliches (French One Thousand Guineas).
Precieuse subsequently was purchased privately by Peter Brant and transferred to the care of Eclipse Award-winning trainer Chad Brown in the U.S. She finished second by a head to stablemate Uni in the De La Rose Stakes in her stateside debut in August 2018. Precieuse did not race again until March 2, 2019, when she rallied powerfully in the stretch to edge past Valedictorian late for a win in the Grade 3 Honey Fox Stakes at Gulfstream Park.
Group 3-placed Zut Alors, by Pivotal, is the dam (mother) of Precieuse.
