Prado’s Sweet Ride, a hard-knocking Illinois-bred mare trained by Chris Block, raced consistently in stakes races throughout the Midwest starting in 2015, when she won the Grade 3 Regret Stakes at Churchill Downs on turf. She won stakes at Canterbury Park, Fair Grounds, and Hawthorne Race Course during 2016-2017 and placed in several stakes races as well. In 2018, she picked up her highest-level win when switched to dirt for the Grade 2 Falls City Handicap at Churchill Downs on Nov. 22, winning by 4 ¾ lengths in front-running fashion.
