Om defeated eventual 2015 Triple Crown winner American Pharoah in Pharoah's career debut and Om's second career start in 2014. He won a pair of graded stakes in the fall of 2015 and closed his season with a victory in the Grade 2 Mathis Brothers Mile Stakes at Santa Anita Park.
Om placed in three graded stakes in his first four starts in 2016 before a runner-up finish in the Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint before closing out the year with a third in the Grade 2 Seabiscuit Handicap.

In 2017, Om placed in three straight graded stakes to begin the year before running eighth in the Breeders' Cup Mile. He ended the year with a fourth-place finish in the Seabiscuit.
In his second start of 2018, Om halted a 12-race winless stretch with a victory in the Grade 3 Thunder Road Stakes at Santa Anita Park but he was winless in his final four races of the year, three of which came in Grade 1 stakes.
In 2019 under the guidance of Peter Miller, Om began to regain his top form, running second in the Grade 1 Jaipur Stakes in his second start of the year before winning an allowance race June 29 at Churchill Downs. He followed with a game runner-up finish in the Grade 1 Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint behind front-running stablemate Belvoir Bay.
