After finishing fifth in his debut, Not This Time broke through with a 10-length romp in his second career start.
The Giant's Causeway colt then tried stakes company for trainer Dale Romans and dominated in an 8 3/4-length runaway in the Grade 3 Iroquois Stakes at Churchill Downs in September, punching his ticket to the Sentient Jet Breeders' Cup Juvenile.
In the Juvenile, Not This Time broke in and bumped early, but recovered well under Robby Albarado and made an impressive closing move in midstretch to finish second by a neck behind Classic Empire.
