A winner of two of his first three starts, Noble Moon was an impressive juvenile from the beginning. He won his debut easily before finishing third in a toughly run Nashua Stakes where he was bumped and shuffled to the back. In his 3-year-old debut, the Malibu Moon son easily won the Jerome Stakes to earn his first points on the path to the Kentucky Derby.

Noble Moon is owned by Treadway Racing Stable, the owner of notable 3-year-old filly Sweet Reason. He was bought by the stable for $200,000 at the 2012 Keeneland September Yearling Sale, after selling for the same price at that sale company's 2011 November sale.
Noble Moon comes from a notable family and looks to win the second straight Kentucky Derby for sire Malibu Moon. But Malibu Moon isn't the only powerful name in Noble Moon's pedigree as his dam is half sister to graded stakes winners Silver Music and Musical Ghost with stakes winners in all of his first four generations.
