My Mertie needed four starts to secure her first career win in December 2015, but she added victories in each of her next two races as well. She placed in six of her next eight races, including a runner-up finish in the Minaret Stakes, but did not return to the winner’s circle until April 22, 2017, when she won the Third Chance Handicap at Hawthorne for a breakthrough stakes win. She was winless in her next nine starts over the 13 despite finishing in the top three six times, twice in stakes.

My Mertie regained her winning form with a 1 ¼-length victory in an allowance-optional claiming race on the synthetic main track at Arlington International Racecourse in June 2018. She added two more wins on the Arlington main track in 2018, and in 2019 My Mertie recorded her first graded stakes win when she closed from off the pace for a 1/14-length victory at the Chicago-area track.
