Morticia

After finishing sixth in her career debut, Morticia won five of her next six starts, including stakes victories at Gulfstream Park, Belmont Park, Saratoga Race Course and Laurel Park. She had a three-race winning streak halted when running third in the Kentucky Downs Ladies Sprint Stakes, but in her next start Morticia earned her first career graded stakes score with a win in the Grade 3 Buffalo Trace Franklin County Stakes at Keeneland.

Morticia finished second, third, and second, respectively, in the Captiva Island Stakes, Giant's Causeway Stakes, and Unbridled Sidney Stakes in her first three starts of 2018. She then won the Penn Ladies Dash Stakes by a length. Morticia was unplaced in the Caress Stakes at Saratoga before back-to-back third-place finishes in the Smart N Fancy Stakes at Saratoga and the Buffalo Trace Franklin County Stakes at Keeneland. Following an unplaced finish at Tampa Bay Downs in the Lightning Stakes, Morticia finished second in the Abundantia Stakes at Gulfstream Park in her final start in 2018.

Morticia set the pace and finished second by a neck in her 2019 debut in the Captiva Island Stakes at Gulfstream. She halted a six-race winless stretch with a victory in the Giant's Causeway Stakes on April 13 at Keeneland.

Morticia next ran second by a neck in the Unbridled Sidney Stakes before a 2 ¼-length allowance win in June at Churchill Downs. In July 2019 at Saratoga, Mortician finished third in the Caress Stakes before running fourth at the Spa in the Smart N Fancy Stakes in August. Morticia led from start to finish to win the Grade 3 Spendthrift Farm Ladies Sprint Stakes by 1 ¾ lengths for her first graded stakes victory in more than 22 months.
