Mondialiste (IRE)

A Group 3 stakes winner in England, Mondialiste earned a berth into the Breeders' Cup Mile when he won the Woodbine Mile in Canada in his first trip to the United States. Racing since 2013, Mondialiste is a multiple group stakes-placed horse who finished third in the Prix Jean Prat in only his fouth start.

After his Woodbine mile victory, the colt finished second in the Breeders' Cup Mile and then was unplaced in the Longines Hong Kong Mile.

Modialiste showed little in his first two starts of 2016 in Europe before regaining his good form for a close runner-up finish in the Group 2 Sky Bet York Stakes. He then shipped back to North America and outfinished Deauville and Kasaqui to win the Arlington Million Stakes, which earned Mondialiste a guaranteed starting spot in the Longines Breeders' Cup Turf. 

The Million proved to be the peak effort for Mondialiste in 2016, as he finished fourth in the Shadwell Turf Mile and then last in the Longines Turf. In 2017, he was unplaced in a Group 1 start in Dubai and then returned to Europe for six more starts, finishing second once. The now 7-year-old improved somewhat when shipped back to North America, taking fourth in the Grade 1 Ricoh Woodbine Mile and then fifth in the Grade 1 Shadwell Turf Mile.

Mondialiste is a out of the multiple Grade 1 winner Occupandiste and is a half-brother to Grade 2 winner Impressionnate, who produced Grade 1 winner Intello, and multiple Grade 3 winner Only Answer. Mondialiste comes from the family of Preakness winner and U.S. champion Timber Country.
