Mia Mischief

Mia Mischief ran second in her career debut in September 2017 at Churchill Downs and scored a victory three weeks later at Keeneland, where she powered to a 16 ¼-length romp. She subsequently finished second in her stakes debut at Churchill before capping her 2-year-old season with a win in an allowance race, also at Churchill Downs.

Mia Mischief finished second in the Dixie Belle Stakes at Oaklawn Park in her 3-year-old bow, coming up a neck short to Amy’s Challenge. She earned her first career stakes win in her next start when she rolled to an 8 ¼-length score in the Purple Martin Stakes at Oaklawn.

Mia Mischief made her graded stakes debut in the Grade 2 Eight Belles Stakes Presented by Kentucky Trailer on the Longines Kentucky Oaks undercard and led from start to finish for a breakthrough 1 ½-length triumph. In August 2018, she finished second by a neck in the Grade 1 Longines Test Stakes at Saratoga and four weeks later ran second again at Saratoga in the Grade 2 Prioress Stakes. She closed the year with an unplaced finish in the Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Sprint.

Mia Mischief halted a four-race winless stretch with a victory in an allowance/optional claiming race in March 2019 at Oaklawn Park. She followed with a runner-up finish in the Carousel Stakes at Oaklawn on April 6 before a breakthrough Grade 1 win on the Kentucky Derby undercard in the Humana Distaff Stakes, in which she surged clear to win by 1 3/4 length at 11.50-1 odds.

The filly followed up her Grade 1 score with an exciting win in the Roxelana Stakes on June 22 at Churchill Downs, dueling through the stretch with odds-on favorite Cofeve before inching clear in the final strides and holding off a late rush from Awestruck. Mia Mischief finished unplaced in a pair of graded stakes at Saratoga over the summer before a third-place effort in the Thoroughbred Club of America at Keeneland on Oct. 5.
