Merry Meadow took 11 tries to break her maiden, though all but one of those efforts was a second- or third-place finish. She earned her first stakes win in 2014 as a 4-year-old when she captured the Grade 3 Vagrancy Handicap. In late 2014 she kicked off a three-race win streak that included wins in two more Grade 3 events, the Sugar Swirl and the Hurricane Bertie Stakes. She won the 2015 Princess Rooney Stakes to earn a spot in the starting gate of the Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Sprint.
