Lull, a Christophe Clement-trained War Front filly, emerged quickly as a top-class turf performer with a second-place finish in the 2016 JP Morgan Chase Jessamine Stakes and then a fourth-place finish in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf. Prior to that, she had won her career debut and, after clipping heels and falling in her second start at a stakes in Saratoga, won a black type stakes at Kentucky Downs.

In 2017, the Claiborne Farms and Adele Dilschneider homebred finished seventh in her 3-year-old debut in a Grade 3 at Keeneland, second in two consecutive stakes including the Grade 2 San Clemente Handicap, and then won another stakes race at Kentucky Downs.
Lull then finished a closing third in the Grade 3 Buffalo Trace Franklin County Stakes at Keeneland before breaking through with her first graded stakes win in the one-mile Grade 3 Autumn Miss Stakes at Santa Anita. She finished her season with a fifth-place finish in the Matriarch at Santa Anita.
Lull headed south for the winter and made her 4-year-old debut in the Grade 3 Honey Fox Stakes at Gulfstream Park, where she set the pace and had enough left to hold off the closers for her second graded stakes triumph.
