Limousine Liberal won the first two starts of his career after debuting in June of his sophomore season. He then jumped up to graded stakes competition where he finished second in both the Grade 1 King's Bishop and the Grade 3 Gallant Bob to set him up for a run in the Breeders' Cup Sprint, in which he finished 11th.

Limousine Liberal set a new track record for 6 1/2 furlongs at Keeneland in his 2016 debut, blazing the distance in 1:15.05. He then finished unplaced in the Grade 2 Churchill Downs Stakes before back-to-back runner-up finishes in the Grade 3 Aristides Stakes and the Grade 2 Smile Sprint Handicap. After an unplaced finish in a Grade 1 race at Saratoga Race Course in the summer, Limousine Liberal bounced back with a second in the Grade 2 Stoll Keenon Ogden Phoenix Stakes to set up another shot at the Breeders' Cup Sprint, where he finished fourth.
Limousine Liberal began his 2017 campaign in the Commonwealth Stakes at Keeneland, finishing third, and won the Churchill Downs Stakes a month later on the Kentucky Derby undercard on a muddy track to register his first graded stakes win. He followed with another graded stakes win in the Grade 3 Aristides Stakes at Churchill in June 2017, and closed out the year with a dominant win the listed Bet on Sunshine Stakes at Churchill.
In 2018, Limousine Liberal returned with a good runner-up finish in the Grade 3 Commonwealth Stakes at Keeneland, losing to Warrior's Reward by a neck. He followed with a determined victory in the Grade 2 Churchill Downs Stakes presented by TwinSpires on the Kentucky Derby undercard to score a repeat win in the race. After running third in the Grade 1 Met Mile, Limousine Liberal regained his winning form with a hard-fought win over Whitmore on July 7 in the Grade 2 Belmont Sprint Championship Stakes, a "Win and You're In" race for the Twinspires.com Breeders' Cup Sprint.
Making his next start in the Grade 1 Forego Stakes on Aug. 25 at Saratoga Race Course, Limousine Liberal rallied belatedly to finish a fast-closing third behind winner Whitmore and runner-up City of Light.
Limousine Liberal is by Successful Appeal and is the first foal out of the In Excess mare Gift of Gab.
