Leigh Court debuted as a 3-year-old and won two of her first three starts to convince her connections to try stakes company. She was unplaced in that effort but later won three stakes in a row, including the Grade 3 Ontario Colleen Stakes at Woodbine. She finished fourth in the Grade 1 Queen Elizabeth II Challenge Cup to conclude her first season of racing.

After making nine starts as a 3-year-old, Leigh Court was given several months off and did not make her 4-year-old debut until August 2014. The filly won the Seaway Stakes (G3) in that start and then won the Grade 2 Thoroughbred Club of America Stakes at Keeneland to earn a spot in the Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Sprint starting gate.
Leigh Court is a Eugene Melnyk homebred, by the late sire Grand Slam and out of his French Deputy mare Padmore.
