Lawn Ranger finished second in his career debut on the Ellis Park turf. He broke his maiden in his next try on the Kentucky Downs lawn before heading to Keeneland to try graded stakes company. The colt won the Grade 3 Bourbon Stakes to earn a spot in the 2014 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf starting gate.
Lawn Ranger is a son of U S Ranger out of the Dynaformer mare Lalka, making the colt a half-brother to graded stakes winner Georgie's Angel.
