Lady Prancealot (IRE)

Irish-bred Lady Prancealot began her career in England with three top-three finishes from her first three starts. She was sent to the U.S. midway through her 2-year-old year and finished second in a pair of stakes races before going unplaced in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf. 

She began her sophomore season with an allowance win before stepping up to tally another third-place finish in the Grade 3 Providencia Stakes. In May, Lady Prancealot ran on well in the stretch but could again only manage a runner-up placing in the Grade 3 Senorita Stakes at Santa Anita Park. She earned her first career stakes win on June 1, 2019, when she rallied powerfully to win the Grade 3 Honeymoon Stakes at Santa Anita Park. She followed with a third-place finish in the Grade 1 Del Mar Oaks Presented by The Jockey Club, coming up 1 3/4 lengths short of winner Cambier Parc.

Lady Prancealot failed to fire in the $750,000 Jockey Club Oaks Invitational Sept. 7 at Belmont Park in a race that set up poorly for her with a leisurely pace, but she bounced back powerfully in the Grade 3 Pin Oak Valley View Stakes Oct. 18 at Keeneland. In the Valley View, Lady Prancealot charged from off the pace under jockey Joe Bravo and reeled in pacesetter Blowout in deep stretch to prevail by three-parts of a length.

Lady Prancelot made her next start in the Grade 1 American Oaks on Dec. 28 at Santa Anita Park. With Joe Bravo once again in the irons, the filly found room along the inside at the top of the stretch and rallied strongly to edge Mucho Unusual by a half-length in a game win.
