Lady Aurelia won her career debut at Keeneland in 2016 before trainer Wesley Ward sent her to England to compete at the prestigious Royal Ascot meet, where she won the Group 2 Queen Mary Stakes for 2-year-old fillies. She later defeated males in the Group 1 Darley Prix Morny at Deauville in France in August before finishing third in the Group 1 Connolly's Red Mills Cheveley Park Stakes at Newmarket to conclude her season in September. She earned a Cartier Award as Europe's 2016 champion 2-year-old filly for her accomplishments.

She followed with a runner-up finish in the Group 1 Coolmore Nunthorpe Stakes and is being pointed to the Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint.
Lady Aurelia is a daughter of the late Scat Daddy, out of the Forest Wildcat mare D'Wildcat Speed. She was a $350,000 purchase as a yearling.
