La Verdad debuted in the spring of her 3-year-old year and broke her maden in her second start to launch a five-race win streak. After a second-place finish in her first stakes try, La Verdad won four more races in succession through mid-2014 including the Grade 2 Distaff Handicap.
The filly cooled off for the rest of the year but she won five of eight races in 2015 as a 5-year-old, including three graded stakes. She finished second in the 2015 Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Sprint and was honored after the season with the Eclipse Award as champion female sprinter.
