Krampus ran seventh in his career debut in December 2016 but strung together back-to-back wins in his first two starts in 2017 before a runner-up finish in his final start as a 3-year-old.
He posted two wins and finished in the top three five times in seven starts in 2018 before a fourth-place finish in the El Prado Stakes in his 2019 debut. He followed with a breakthrough win in the Grade 3 Canadian Turf Stakes on March 2 at Gulfstream, where he rallied from off the pace to take command in the stretch and held off 7-10 favorite Breaking the Rules by a head to prevail.
