I Spent It won his debut at Belmont Park before heading north to try stakes company at Saratoga. Behind horses with nowhere to go at the top of the lane in th eGrade 2 Saratoga Special, I Spent It impressed when accelerating through a narrow opening on the rail before drawing off to win by 2 3/4 lengths.
The colt is from the first crop of Kentucky Derby winner Super Saver and out of the Sky Mesa mare Rateeba. I Spent It's family includes Zavata, winner of the 2002 Saratoga Special, and Haskell winner Dixie Union.
