Kentucky-bred Happy Like a Fool, returning to North America after two starts in England, scored an easy 2 ¼-length win in the Oct. 15 Grade 3 Matron Stakes at Bemont Park. The 2-year-old Distorted Humor filly won her debut at Keeneland during spring 2017 and then was shipped to England for the summer. She ran second in the Group 2 Queen Anne Stakes during the Royal Ascot meet and then sixth in the Group 2 Sky Bet Lowther Stakes before returning to the U.S. for the six-furlong Matron.

Happy Like a Fool is owned by Merriebelle Stable, Michael B. Tabor, Derrick Smith, and Susan Magnier, and trained by Wesley Ward.
