Hangover Kid broke his maiden in just his second start at Belmont Park. Finishing out the 2011 season he placed in multiple allowance races. He started out 2012 strong with a win by 4 3/4 lengths in an allowance race at Aqueduct. After winning three more allowance races he placed third in the Grade 1 United Nations Stakes. The Lemon Drop Kid brought home a win in his very next start, the West Point Stakes at Saratoga.
