After winning one of eight starts with five other top-three finishes in France as a 3-year-old, Grand Jete made her U.S. debut in April 2017 and won by 4 1/2 lengths at Keeneland Race Course. She followed with a victory over stablemate Light In Paris in the Grade 3 Eatontown Stakes at Monmouth Park in June.
After winning one of eight starts with five other top-three finishes in France as a 3-year-old, Grand Jete made her U.S. debut in April 2017 and won by 4 1/2 lengths at Keeneland Race Course. She followed with a victory over stablemate Light In Paris in the Grade 3 Eatontown Stakes at Monmouth Park in June.
Grand Jete won her next start, a 1 1/16-mile allowance optional claiming race at Belmont Park, and then finished second in a dead heat with Dona Bruja behind Dacita in the Grade 1 Beverly D. Stakes at Arlington Park in August, encountering traffic trouble in the stretch but closing strong. Grand Jete surfaced next in the Grade 1 Flower Bowl Stakes on Oct. 8 at Belmont Park. She set a contested pace in the 1 1/8-mile turf event but tired in the stretch to finish third behind War Flag and stablemate Dacita.
