Golden Mischief

After a breakthrough win in her fourth career start, Golden Mischief followed with an allowance victory at Churchill Downs and a win in the My Trusty Cat Stakes at Delta Downs. She finished seventh in the Grade 3 Delta Downs Princess Stakes in November but bounced back to win the Letellier Memorial Stakes at Fair Grounds in December.

Golden Mischief ran second in her 3-year-old bow in the Take Charge Brandi Stakes in March 2017 before winning the Purple Martin Stakes later that month at Oaklawn Park. She subsequently ran fourth three times in graded stakes and second once in a stakes before regaining her winning form in the Flashy Lady Stakes at Remington Park in her final start as a 3-year-old.

After an allowance win and a pair of unplaced finishes in stakes races to open her 4-year-old season, Golden Mischief found her best stride in the second half of the year. She won the Saylorville Stakes at Prairie Meadows in July and the West Virginia Secretary of State Stakes in August at Mountaineer. In October, Golden Mischief nailed down her first career graded stakes victory in the Grade 2 Thoroughbred Club of America Stakes at Keeneland, where she closed from off the pace to take the lead in deep stretch and held off a late bid from Chalon to prevail by a head.
