Frivolous broke her maiden as a 3-year-old in her fourth start, and she finished second in the Grade 3 Arlington Oaks in her fifth. After a series of unplaced efforts, she was put back in allowance company where she promptly won by 4 1/4 lenths.
Frivolous broke her maiden as a 3-year-old in her fourth start, and she finished second in the Grade 3 Arlington Oaks in her fifth. After a series of unplaced efforts, she was put back in allowance company where she promptly won by 4 1/4 lenths.
The mare picked up her first graded stakes win in the Falls City Handicap at Churchill Downs in November 2014, and after a pair of dismal showings to kick off 2015 she captured the Grade 2 Fleur de Lis over the same course for her second stakes tally. To date all of Frivolous's wins have come in Kentucky at either Churchill Downs or Keeneland.
Frivolous is a daughter of Belmont Stakes winner Empire Maker and out of the winning Belong to Me mare Sixty Rocketts, making her a half-sister to graded stakes-placed Drama Drama.
