After winning two of his first six races in her native France, Flamboyant won his U.S. debut in April 2014 in the La Puente Stakes and subsequently finished third in the Grade 1 Belmont Derby Invitational Stakes.
After winning two of his first six races in her native France, Flamboyant won his U.S. debut in April 2014 in the La Puente Stakes and subsequently finished third in the Grade 1 Belmont Derby Invitational Stakes.
Flamboyant earned a breakthrough graded stakes win to start 2016 when he took the top prize in the Grade 2 San Gabriel Stakes and then followed with another graded stakes win in the Grade 2 San Marcos Stakes. He then ran fifth in the Group 1 Dubai Turf that proved the start of a long winless stretch - 14 races without a victory, during which he ran second twice and third six times in graded stakes - before he returned to the winner's circle in the Grade 3 San Francisco Mile Stakes on March 31, 2018 at Golden Gate Fields.
