Fashion Plate put it all together to break her maiden in her third career start in December 2013 before reeling off three consecutive victories, including two in Grade 1 stakes races. The filly from the first crop of stallion Old Fashioned won the Las Virgenes in January 2014 and the Santa Anita Oaks in April, both at Santa Anita Park.
The filly ran 11th in the Kentucky Oaks after acting up before the race.
Fashion Plate is from sire Old Fashioned's first crop and out of the Citidancer mare Miss Puzzle. Miss Puzzle has produced one other stakes winner, Mr. Candy Bar.
