Eskimo Kisses finished second in two of her first three starts before posting her first career win on Feb. 1, 2018 at Oaklawn Park. She followed with an 11 1/2-length runaway allowance win that gave her connections the confidence to try stakes competition. She rewarded their confidence with a close runner-up finish by a head in the Grade 2 Fair Grounds Oaks. In her final prep for the Longines Kentucky Oaks, Eskimo Kisses ran second to Monomoy Girl in the Grade 1 Central Bank Ashland Stakes at Keeneland.

Eskimo Kisses ran a respectable fourth in the Kentucky Oaks and then again ran fourth in the Grade 1 Coaching Club American Oaks in July at Belmont Park. She was on her 'A' game in her next start, however, surging clear in the stretch to pull away from She's a Julie and Midnight Bisou for a runaway win in the prestigous Alabama Stakes on Aug. 18 at Saratoga.
