Engage finished second in a rough trip in his career debut on Aug. 5, 2017, at Saratoga Race Course. He prevailed in his second start four weeks later, winning by a half-length at Saratoga Race Course. He made his stakes debut on Oct. 14 in the Grade 3 Futurity Stakes at Belmont Park and charged from last to first to win by 3 1/2 lengths.

Engage finished second in the Grade 3 Bay Shore Stakes in April 2018 in his 3-year-old bow. He followed with a victory in the Gold Fever Stakes before running second in the Grade 2 Woody Stephens S. Presented by Mohegan Sun in June at Belmont Park and second in the Grade 3 Amsterdam Stakes in July at Saratoga.

The Into Mischief colt closed out his sophomore season with back-to-back fourth-place finishes in the Grade 1 H. Allen Jerkens Stakes Presented by Runhappy and Gallant Bob Stakes at Parx Racing.

After an unplaced finish in his 4-year-old debut when returning from a 10-month layoff, Engage returned to the winner’s circle with a half-length win in the Bensalem Stakes at Park Racing Sept. 2, 2019. He proved he was back in peak form and earned an expenses-paid starting spot in the Breeders’ Cup Sprint when he powered to a half-length score in the Stoll Keenon Ogden Phoenix Stakes Oct. 4 at Keeneland.

Stakes-placed winner Nefertiti, by Speightstown, is the dam (mother) of Engage.
