After winning his first two career starts, Delegation placed in a stakes race at Canterbury Park before finishing third in his graded stakes debut in the Play the King Stakes (Can-G2) in August 2012.
The Speightstown gelding has shown a nice blend of brilliance with consistency so far in his career. The brilliance was on display in a front-running victory in the Durham Cup Stakes (Can-G3) in October 2012 at Woodbine, Delegation's first career stakes win.

Continuing to show leadership he made his first win of the year in the grade 3 Dominion Day Stakes by a strong 9 1/4 lengths.
