A graded stakes winner at two, Dayatthespa improved as a 3-year-old putting together a 5-race winning streak that included a Grade 1 victory in the Queen Elizabeth II Challenge Cup Stakes (G1) for trainer Chad Brown. She also won the Herecomesthebride Stakes (G3) and Appalachian Stakes (G3) at three and stamped herself one of the top 3-year-old fillies on grass in the U.S.

Dayatthespa added a pair of stakes wins and two graded stakes placings in her 4-year-old season. She then won the Yaddo Stakes and the First Lady Stakes (Grade 1) as a 5-year-old before recording a career-defining, front-running victory in the Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Turf for trainer Chad Brown. She subsequently was named Eclipse Award winner as champion turf female for 2014.
