The Jerry Hollendorfer trainee did not break her maiden until her eighth career start during summer 2018, but improved her form after that with two wins in her next four starts before winning the Las Flores. She continued her winning ways at the graded stakes level in her next start, capturing the Grade 3 Desert Stormer Stakes at Santa Anita on May 19 by a half-length at 9-10 odds.
Danuska's My Girl next finished fourth in the Great Lady M Stakes at Los Alamitos, won by Marley's Freedom, but then rebounded to tally another graded stakes score, defeating odds-on favorite Anonymity by a half-length in the Aug. 11 Grade 3 Rancho Bernardo Handicap at Del Mar.
