Curlin’s Voyage was thrust right into elite competition and handled herself well when running second in the Victoria Stakes in July 2019 at Woodbine in her career debut. She followed with a third-place finish in the Shady Well Stakes, also at Woodbine. Given class relief for her next start, Curlin’s Voyage won a maiden special weight race by 4 ¾ lengths while stretching out in distance around two turns for the first time. Moved back to stakes competition, the chestnut Curlin filly was elevated to a victory in the Grade 3 Mazarine Stakes after she was impeded by a rival in the stretch.
